Off Balance comes through with some straightforward, angry hardcore. With 12 songs, this is more like an album! Their style is decidedly NYHC-inspired...lots of Biohazard-esque guitar riffs and some pretty good breaks, they throw in some Oi influence at times too. The way the vocals are venomously spat out ala Jeff from Breakdown is cool. It is refreshing to hear something that draws upon good musical influences yet brings to the table an original twist of it's own. I got a chuckle out of the obligatory "What's up Motherfuckers" intro on track 3. This band is no joke though and has an original sound of their own which I appreciate. I feel if they continued to develop and feel more comfortable within their sound they'd be even better, as the demo is not without a couple rough spots either. A strong first effort, if they put out an EP I'd buy it.
