This zine is very impressive both writing and graphic wise. It comes with a 7inch comp called “Mass Confusion” which features Expired Youth, Raining Bricks, Urban Blight and 86 Mentality along with a couple others. The only song which isn’t unreleased on here is “Chemical Threat” by 86 Mentality. The zine has interviews with all of the bands on the comp as well as The Pedestrians, Few and the Proud, Blind Approach, and Terminal State. The interview questions that were asked were good, and it was cool to see a focus on local Chicago bands that don’t have a ton of recognition outside this city, but should. The photography work is good and the layout was nice to look at and readable without being slick. You can tell a lot of time was put into the making of this zine. Aside from the multitude of interviews, there is a Chicago Hardcore news page, some cool show flyers from years past with ridiculously good lineups, and a page of short rants. This came out awhile ago but Jeff told me he still has some left, so hit him up before they’re all gone.
