Fahrenheit 451 Record Release Party

Dominican Day Parade VS. Fahrenheit 451 - F451 Record Release party
Fontanas NYC July 8, 2006

The Fahrenheit 451 DVD Release Party If I Knew Then What I Know Now....I wouldn't have drank so much that night.  Okay, for starters, the party alone was a hit.  Everyone was having a good time, drinking, reliving the old days, etc.  Just as everyone settled into party mode, the Fahrenheit DVD was shown.  It was welcomed with cheers and applause.  I honestly believe that most people were blown away with the documentary.  It was funny and upbeat when needed, but serious and told the story.

After the DVD was shown, down to the basement for, well, for what I thought was going to just be DDP playing their last show, followed by Fahrenheit playing.  I certainly did not expect what I saw.  DDP played and even did a Fahrenheit cover with "I'M FRANK" joining them.  If my drunken memory serves, they covered For.  The also did a District 9 cover of (again if drunken memory serves) Payback with Martin from BCS joining in on vocals.  As always DDP was fun and energetic and DID NOT disappoint.

Fahrenheit was up next and they killed it.  Seeing them again (didn't they say no more shows) was definitely great.  Now here is where things get a little blurry.  I know Fahrenheit played and then NRSV played (with Mike Dixon joining Dean on the mic...can somebody tell that guy to just rejoin the band already)...but there was ALOT of people running up on stage.  To be honest, after awhile it was more of a jam session then anything.  It seemed like EVERYONE jumped up on the mic at some point.  Scott of NRSV was caught out there singing, SD, Steve Friedlander, Mike from State of Disgrace.  And just about everyone in the room who knew how to play an instrument did.  Everytime you turned around there was someone else playing...whether it be one minute Todd (D9) is on bass and next Muttley (BCS) is on bass, to having Glen (BCS & NRSV) and Pete (DDP) switch off on drums.  You know, basically DDP's antics of everyone plays everything basically applied to the entire crowd that night.  It was nice to see everyone go balls out and have a great time.

This party was awesome.  I know I'm forgetting plenty, but hey, that's why we have things like pictures and videos.  If there was one party to get drunk at this year, THIS was the one.  And if you missed it, then seriously, you're a douche.
