Seems all anybody wants to talk about with Fucked Up these days is how they’re selling out or how they’re just a joke band out to fuck with people or occasionally how they’re some sort of messiah of punk. I don’t know anything about any of that, but I know two things. One; they write awesome music, and two; they’re accompanying art and politics are endlessly fascinating. Even if this is all some sort of gimmick or whatever, I don’t particularly care and I don’t wanna know. This record is sick. The cover art and insert art are awesome and nothing like what every other hardcore band is doing and the songs are uplifting and epic, but still simple and catchy; the perfect formula for great music. If you’re into Fucked Up you already got this. If you’re not, give them a shot, you probably will, but I’d suggest picking up Epics In Minutes first to bring yourself up to speed.
Stand out tracks: There’s two and their both great, but I’d pick Triumph of Life over Neat Parts.
