Verbal Abuse

Just an American Band

Absolutely a must have. I don’t know a lot about Beer City, but plan on finding out. The record is sort of a discography as it includes 27 tracks; 13 from the Just An American Band record and 14 live tracks from 1984. Whole package is really nicely done. Thank you, my collection needed this. VA was around and making hardcore before many of the bands we think started it all. (Beer City)

This was re-mastered and is available all on one CD. Just get it. Void is one of the greatest early bands in this thing and don’t get enough credit as people continue to analyze and look back at this thing and what it was. (Dischord)

The Year In Seven Inches

The Teen Idles, SOA, Minor Threat, GI, Youth Brigade - It is ridiculous how much great music came from so many young artists from one spot so early on. You know what I loved the most? In my order was a handwritten note thanking me for my order from a MacKaye, I believe a sister of Ian, and a whole bunch of other cool materials. (Dischord)

You are getting it now. The Must Haves will probably be a longer section and basically more positive than the record section as every one of my old favorite bands seems to be hitting one of these or a discography in the last few. Although, I think at this point most have gotten to it. Point being: I am turning into this kind of record buyer, but it also says something about the new muddy waters of shit and the greatness we knew or didn’t know existed with bands like D.R.I. when they were young.
