Bent
Brother/Twisted Sister
Lamours, Brooklyn, NY
Friday, April 4, 2003
AHHHH, Lamour in Brooklyn…Ye Olde Stomping Grounds.
And what a way to return but to catch TWISTED MAHFUKIN SISTER
(or Bent Brother)! Someone asked me the other day, “So
who played with them?” The answer to that question is,
“Who the fuck cares.”
The show
was a mix of young and old. The old being pretty ancient.
It also had to be one of the ugliest crowds I have ever seen.
Holy Shit! It seems as if all of the hot metal chicks of the
80’s came back after they popped out a couple of kids
and were beaten several times by their mullet-rockin ex-husbands.
Now on to the show. The entire original line-up leaps on stage
sans make-up to the roar of the crowd. They blast through
songs from the first three albums and the title track to “Come
Out and Play.” SMF…Stay Hungry…The Price…You
Can’t Stop Rock-n-Roll…and those other 2 songs
that your grandmother probably knows. For an old guy Dee Snider
still has it. Incredible energy. He was all over that stage
without missing a beat. They can teach the young’ns
a thing or two about putting on a show.
What else
can be said about this show. It’s Twisted Sister and
I thank them taking me on a trip down memory lane, if just
for one night.
