C...RAP Top 20 of 2005
Here it is: We would never do one dicks! We would never sit here and tell you why we loved Bloc Party's record this year, just like Target did, because we know the answer: we are all a little gay. We would not use 20 reasons to explain how cool we are or suck Saddle Creeks dick or defend the violence in hardcore or any of that shit. Recognition goes out to Blacklisted, Madball, Against Me, Atmosphere and a few others. Some really old dudes put out records this year. I hope it’s out your Metamucil maintaining asses, as some of that shit was totally unnecessary. And the attempt to connect with an 18 year old is just fucking sad, you could have a kid twice that age. Here’s to some labels getting further away from where they are from and everything sounding dumb from the band names, to the vision, the music and shameless promo thereof and lastly where this is allis heading . Here’s to My Space for at least keeping it short for all of us forced to see and hear what all the creative ones are doing and know this, 'it too shall pass'. Here’s to ’06 and C…RAP still doing what we do with a nice new look we have worked hard on. My Space should send us all back to some meaningful places where the content and creative will set you apart. See you at c-rap.com weekly in ’06. Happy New Year!
ASS at still ASS yo.

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF ASS! NOW COP SOME GEAR.
Free Pins and Stickers, Cheap Shirts and Bad Attitude Problems.
Must have DVDs Discographies, re-issues, new re-releases. There is a ton of 'must haves' right now and it was so nice to see Revelation put out the Bold and Judge packages as those bands helped put that label on the map and the packages are really well done. The SOD DVD is funny, the Cro-Mags DVD is solid live stuff. The Nausea sucks as they did then, but they were there. Bridge 9 did a great job with the Schism book and the Project X CD & 7", though who wants to read interviews with idiots when they were idiots 10 years ago. Oh shit we do that too. The Minor Threat DVD is amazing to see everyone so young as kids in the bands and the audience. NA is angry and raw and put detroit on the map way back. And the Best of AF is awesome as is their most recent record and the Wrecking Crew is great too. Why Must They? They must put this stuff out for credibility and to reinforce what many of us know; it was better before and that shit meant something! |

PLEASE
STOP!!!
I
wish bands would stop with this reunion show fantasy. Haven’t
we seen how this movie ends already? Band does great things…Band
starts to whither a little…Band decides to break up…Band
hates each other…Band comes-back…and comes-back….and
comebacks… etc…etc. Oh, the fucking pain! I loved seeing
the Bad Brains before they were the Soul Brains. Leeway, the Cro-Mags.
The list goes on. Why do they ruin it for me by returning with,
if you’re lucky, 2 original members on some wack-ass reunion
crap. Do it once (maybe one reunion show for old times sake) and
Fade Away! You were all dope when you were a real band. |
